Cooperation on the Introduction and Application of AI Technology

The Rural New Vitality Plus Project Group of Sunchang County, Jeonbuk, joined hands with the Korea Artificial Intelligence Technology Industry Association on the 13th to promote the Rural New Vitality Plus Project in Sunchang County.

According to the county on December 15, the two organizations signed a business agreement to promote the project and create an AI-based innovation ecosystem. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Yongnam, head of the project group, Lee Wonchan, president of the association, and other officials from both organizations.

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to collaborate in various fields to achieve sustainable development in rural areas.

In particular, the main areas of cooperation include: exchanging information and providing advice on the introduction and application of AI technology; jointly operating AI education programs and workshops for residents and project stakeholders; holding seminars and networking events to address local issues; and developing services based on rural data. Both sides also agreed to actively seek out and develop joint projects in these areas.

Prior to this agreement, the Rural New Vitality Plus Project Group of Sunchang County ran an AI expert training course from December 4 to 13 to lay the foundation for sustainable innovation in rural areas, with a total of about 20 participants completing the program.

This agreement is expected to serve as an opportunity to establish a practical cooperation system that will further expand the training of AI talent and the application of AI in rural areas, building on the achievements of this preliminary education.

Kim Yongnam, head of the Rural New Vitality Plus Project Group of Sunchang County, said, "AI technology is an important tool for solving various problems faced by rural areas," adding, "With this agreement, Sunchang County will take a proactive approach to the AI era and do its best to create a rural innovation model that residents can truly experience."
