Hwasun County Operates 'Lifelong Learning Specialist Training Course'

Three Courses Offered, Including Level 2 Organizing and Storage Specialist

Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province operated a 'Lifelong Learning Specialist Training Course' at the Hwasun Community Center's Lifelong Learning Room from late September to early December 2025.

According to the county on December 15, the program consisted of three courses: Level 2 Organizing and Storage Specialist, Level 2 Picture Book Play Instructor, and Level 1 Silver Cognitive Play Instructor. Participants enhanced their practical skills by obtaining certifications through specialized education and hands-on training.

In particular, after completing the courses, the participants engaged in talent donation activities, visiting local community centers, multicultural families, regional children's centers, and nursing hospitals, conducting two to three sessions for each course, which received an enthusiastic response.

By providing practical support in various areas such as organizing and tidying assistance, picture book play activities for children, and cognitive activity programs for seniors, the participants created meaningful social value and offered tangible help to residents in the community.

One participant shared, "I felt a great sense of pride in obtaining a certification through this course, and it was very rewarding to give back to the community by volunteering my newly acquired skills. I hope that more practical, work-oriented lifelong learning courses will be offered so that more residents can participate in the future."

Jo Mihwa, Head of Population and Youth Policy Division, stated, "We will actively support programs that foster local talent with professional expertise through lifelong learning and enable them to give back to the community. We will continue to strengthen the lifelong learning environment so that residents can learn, grow, and engage with the community in their daily lives."
