Hollys announced on December 15 that it will begin pre-orders for the "Mother-of-Pearl Box Tiramisu Cake," created in collaboration with master artisan Eom Yonggil, starting December 16.

Hollys is introducing the "Mother-of-Pearl Box Tiramisu Cake" in partnership with cultural heritage master Eom Yonggil, utilizing mother-of-pearl, which has recently become a symbol of "retro hip" among Millennials & Gen Z. The cake is presented in a beautifully handcrafted mother-of-pearl box, incorporating Hollys' heritage and adding a touch of tradition. After enjoying the cake, the mother-of-pearl box can be repurposed as a storage case for accessories, business cards, and other small items.

The "Mother-of-Pearl Box Tiramisu Cake" was designed as a tiramisu that is broken open, symbolizing the wish to break away from bad luck in the New Year. Customers can experience the joy of cracking the chocolate layer with the included shell-shaped spoon, as well as savoring the tiramisu made with a moist coffee-flavored sponge, mascarpone cheese, and chocolate powder.

Master artisan Eom Yonggil, who crafted the mother-of-pearl box, has 57 years of experience in the art of lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl, having started in 1968. The handcrafted box features butterflies, which are traditional symbols of good fortune and joy, enhancing its significance. The image of butterflies fluttering among flowers conveys a wish for happiness and blessings for customers in the upcoming year of 2026. The radiant mother-of-pearl box is elegantly wrapped in a traditional bojagi bag and norigae ornament, further deepening its cultural meaning.

Hollys' Mother-of-Pearl Box Tiramisu Cake will be available in limited quantities and can only be purchased through 100% pre-order. Reservations open at 9 a.m. on December 16 via the Hollys app, and pickup will be available at Hollys stores nationwide starting December 26.
