Paju City Receives 30 Million Won Donation from LG Display for 16 Consecutive Years

Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on December 15 that it had received a donation of 30 million won from LG Display on the 11th to support low-income and vulnerable groups in the city.

The donation ceremony was attended by Kim Kyungil, Mayor of Paju City, as well as Jeong Sang-sik, Chairman of the LG Display Labor Union, Executive Director Lee Hangoo, Head of the Business Support Group, and other related personnel.


Since 2010, LG Display has been providing donations to support vulnerable groups in Paju City. This year marks the 16th consecutive year of this initiative, making the gesture even more meaningful.


Jeong Sang-sik, Chairman of the LG Display Labor Union, stated, "We hope that the funds collected by our executives and employees with warm hearts will be used to help vulnerable groups and contribute to making the local community warmer and more prosperous. We will continue to carry out various win-win activities to support marginalized groups in the community."


Kim Kyungil, Mayor of Paju City, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank LG Display for practicing sharing in various ways every year for the vulnerable groups in Paju City. The city will also strive harder to support these groups and foster a culture of warm sharing in the community."


The donated 30 million won will be used through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea to support the livelihood of individuals identified as being in welfare blind spots and those in need of case management.


LG Display is taking the lead in fulfilling and giving back its corporate social responsibility by engaging in a variety of social contribution projects, including the installation of traffic safety facilities, sharing of kimchi, improvement of residential environments, and ecological restoration in the DMZ area.
