On December 15, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province are expected to be mostly cloudy with strong, cold winds.

According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, due to the influence of a high-pressure system moving from near Shanghai, China to the southern seas of Jeju Island, morning temperatures are forecast to remain between -2 and 4 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs ranging from 9 to 12 degrees Celsius.

Waves in the coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea are expected to reach around 1.5 meters, and ultrafine dust levels are projected to remain 'good.'

An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "Very strong winds with instantaneous speeds of 70 km/h (20 m/s) or higher are expected until early morning today, and gusts of 55 km/h (15 m/s) or higher in inland areas of Gwangju and South Jeolla Province, as well as 70 km/h (20 m/s) or higher in mountainous regions, are forecast throughout the day." The official urged thorough inspection of facilities and precautions to prevent safety accidents.
