"Writing Poems with Soul" is a creative guidebook that introduces methods for writing poetry. So, who has received honors such as the Yun Dongju Literature Award, the Cheon Sangbyeong Gwicheon Literature Grand Prize, and the Hwang Sunwon Literature Award, presents the poetry writing process in an accessible way, drawing from his own experiences and reflections. He explained, "Rather than an academic theoretical book, this is like a resume and self-introduction of my poetry, written through my own hands-on journey," adding, "Readers can explore how I began writing poetry, the poetic environment and circumstances, as well as the progress, deepening, and expansion of my poetry."
Since making his debut in 1995 in the monthly publication "Munyesajo," So has continued his creative work and published thirteen collections of poetry. His poetic artistry has been widely recognized, winning the Cheon Sangbyeong Gwicheon Literature Grand Prize for "Portrait of a Mother and Child," the Yun Dongju Literature Award for "Again, the Night Counting Stars," and the Hwang Sunwon Literature Award for "The Season Called You Came to Me."
