This agreement was established to prevent the frequent electrical fire accidents that have recently occurred in apartment complexes and to better protect the lives and property of residents living in public rental housing.

Through the agreement, the two organizations plan to join forces to significantly enhance the overall level of management in the field of electrical safety. This will include preventive inspections for electrical fires in each household, detailed inspections of electrical facilities, and electrical safety education for residents and managers.

As the first step following the signing of the agreement, a joint preemptive inspection will be conducted on December 12 for 1,120 households in the Dongsam 2 District public rental housing in Yeongdo-gu. This inspection aims to identify potential electrical fire hazards within each household. The results of the inspection will lead immediately to repairs and facility improvements, which are expected to have a tangible effect on securing the safety of electrical installations.

Shin Changho, President of Busan Urban Corporation, stated, "The use of electricity and electrical safety are crucial factors directly linked to protecting the lives and property of residents. With this agreement, we will make every effort to dramatically strengthen the safety of electrical facilities in public rental housing and to create a residential environment where everyone can live with peace of mind."
