The British Council Korea (Director: Sarah Deverall) announced that it will hold a limited-time special price event for the General Computer-based IELTS test conducted in the Seoul area until January 31 next year.

This event was organized by the British Council Korea to support those preparing for study abroad or immigration in 2026, enabling them to prepare for an internationally recognized English proficiency test at a more reasonable cost. During the event period, a special price will be applied to applicants for the General Computer-based IELTS test administered by the British Council Korea. However, the Paper-based IELTS and IELTS for UKVI tests are not included in this offer. The test fee will be offered at a special rate of 300,000 won, and the discount is available only in the Seoul area.

The test venues eligible for this offer are: ▲ Seoul edm IELTS Language Institute ▲ Seoul British Council Korea ▲ Seoul Gasan TeamSky Education Center, for a total of three locations. Test schedules vary by institution: at the 'Seoul British Council Korea,' the special price is available daily; at 'edm IELTS Language Institute,' it is available on weekdays; and at 'Gasan TeamSky Education Center,' it is available only for weekend tests.

Sarah Deverall, Director of the British Council Korea, stated, "We hope that this special price event will allow those preparing for study abroad or immigration in 2026 to get ready for the IELTS test with various benefits." She added, "We will continue to enhance our test administration services to further improve convenience for test-takers."

The British Council Korea is providing free access to the 'IELTS Ready Premium' online learning materials, which include up to 40 mock tests, for IELTS candidates. In addition, for Computer-based IELTS test-takers, the 'One Skill Retake' system is available, significantly reducing the burden of achieving target scores.

Meanwhile, since October this year, the British Council Korea has improved its system so that applicants for the Computer-based IELTS test can register up to one day before the test date. This is expected to provide tangible benefits for those who need to take the test on short notice or urgently submit their scores.
