This competition was organized to solve inconveniences experienced by citizens in their daily lives using artificial intelligence (AI) technology and to inject fresh vitality into municipal administration. Citizen participants envisioned a "better Paju" in their own ways, and ten teams that passed the preliminary round advanced to the finals, where they presented creative solutions to local issues such as revitalizing the publishing complex, improving traffic order, and enhancing road safety.
The grand prize (Mayor's Award) went to the "Oneulnaeil" team. They proposed an "AI-based public property damage report chatbot service," which received the highest praise from both the judges and the audience. The "Oneulnaeil" team's proposal was highly rated for its innovative simplification of the complex civil complaint process.
When a citizen sends a photo of a damaged facility, artificial intelligence (AI) automatically analyzes the extent of the damage, determines the location, and forwards the information to the relevant department. The judges explained their decision by stating, "This is not technology for technology's sake, but a prime example of 'compassionate technology' that prioritizes citizen safety and convenience."
The Excellence Award was given to the "Sojuboys" team, who transformed the Paju Publishing Complex into a massive treasure hunt stage. They proposed a "next-generation treasure hunt mission platform," expressing their ambition to bring new enjoyment to visitors by combining artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) technology with the traditionally static image of the publishing complex.

In addition, three teams received the Merit Award: "Parkinghanpaju," which offers a smart solution to illegal parking issues; "Parangsae," which recommends personalized travel courses; and "Imjingang," which provides integrated library information.
A Paju City official commented, "Many people think of artificial intelligence (AI) as a difficult and cold technology, but seeing the proposals created by the participants made me realize how convenient and warm AI can make our lives."
Paju City plans to ensure that the valuable proposals from the ten finalist teams are not neglected, but will be actively reviewed by relevant departments and incorporated into municipal administration.
In his congratulatory remarks, Paju Mayor Kim Kyungil stated, "The ideas proposed today are proof of how much our citizens love Paju," adding, "We will spare no administrative support to turn citizens' imagination into reality and create a 'citizen-centered, greater Paju.'"

Meanwhile, the competition was conducted through a fair evaluation by a panel of judges composed of external experts and internal public officials, and the winning entries are expected to serve as the foundation for building Paju City's future artificial intelligence (AI) administrative services.
