Hodoo Labs Secures Investment from Bluepoint Partners...Expands into AI Voice Services via Telephone Networks Employees of the edutech company Hodoo Labs are taking a group photo.

The core solution of Hodoo Labs, "Ello," provides real-time AI voice conversations using existing telephone networks-without the need for app installation, user registration, or internet connection. Enterprises can build AI voice services simply by integrating with an API (application programming interface). Users can receive guidance, Q&A, reservations, and reminders via regular phone calls. The solution enables natural turn-taking through the learning of over 500 million voice data samples and ultra-low-latency conversation technology.

The first public sector case is "AI Senior Safety Talk" in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. This service delivers daily life and welfare information through regular check-in calls three times a week and immediately notifies the relevant department if any abnormal signals are detected. Building on its successful operation, Hodoo Labs is in business discussions with several other local governments, including Yeongdeungpo-gu, Guro-gu, and Geumcheon-gu. In the private sector, the company is also pursuing multiple business agreements, including the establishment of a year-end tax consultation center for Inseong Accounting Corporation.

Hodoo Labs' technological competitiveness is driven by Chief Technology Officer Jung Wook, who led the development of KakaoTalk FaceTalk and VoiceTalk, along with key full-stack developers from the VoiceTalk team. Chief Executive Officer Kim Minwoo brings extensive experience in AI and edutech businesses, having previously served as Asia Head of the Silicon Valley AI company Kidaptive.

Lee Inseong, Senior Investment Manager at Bluepoint Partners, who oversaw this investment, commented, "This is an impressive team not only for its technological capabilities but also for its experience in leading large-scale businesses. They are creating services that make AI accessible to everyone via phone-based solutions such as silver care."

Kim Minwoo, CEO of Hodoo Labs, stated, "We will make it easier for more people to utilize AI through the most universal channel-phone calls. The investment will be used to further advance our technology and expand our market presence, as well as to broaden partnerships across various fields."
