On December 9, Hwaseong City signed a move-in agreement for the creation of an advanced logistics hub with Samsung Electronics and H-Techno Valley Co., Ltd. at the Central Conference Room of City Hall.
Under the agreement, Samsung Electronics will invest 200 billion won to acquire a 64,000-square-meter industrial facility site across 12 blocks within the H-Techno Valley industrial complex, where it plans to establish a large-scale logistics hub.
H-Techno Valley is a specialized complex for semiconductor and automotive parts currently under development in Yodang-ri, Yanggam-myeon, with a total area of 736,000 square meters. Land compensation has been completed, and construction is underway with the goal of completion by 2028.
The city explained that the industrial complex is attracting significant attention from companies in the semiconductor and future vehicle materials, parts, and equipment sectors due to its convenient access to the Seohaean Expressway (Baran IC) and the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway (Cheongbuk IC).
The logistics hub will be developed as a large-scale smart logistics center that integrates the latest information technology (IT) and systems, including automated facilities, intelligent logistics systems, and robot-based transportation systems.
Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "Through this agreement, Hwaseong City has proven itself to be the optimal partner for realizing corporate visions," adding, "We will do our utmost to provide the necessary administrative support to build a 'complete business ecosystem' where infrastructure and administrative services operate organically."
