Lotte Insurance Revamps Ski Insurance: "Expanded Coverage with New Season Pass Plan"

Lotte Insurance announced on December 9 that it has revamped its "CREW Ski Insurance" and introduced a new season pass plan through its lifestyle-focused insurance platform "ALICE" to coincide with the winter ski season.

The CREW Ski Insurance is a seasonal mini-insurance product from Lotte Insurance, following the launch of its "Surfing Insurance" in July. This product provides coverage for customers who enjoy winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding, regardless of age or gender, in the event of injury.

The newly added "season pass" plan for the CREW Ski Insurance is designed for those who purchase ski resort season passes and either stay for extended periods or visit frequently.

In the past, ski resort visitors needed to rely on their own accident insurance or personal liability insurance to be covered for accidents occurring at ski resorts.

In contrast, with CREW Ski Insurance, customers planning a single-day visit can select the one-day pass plan (24-hour coverage) and enroll for just 1,000 KRW. Skiers who plan to enjoy the slopes throughout the season can opt for the season pass plan, which provides coverage until the end of the ski season in March 2026.

The premium for the season pass plan is around 10,000 KRW, and the main coverage includes: up to 30 million KRW for permanent disability diagnosis, 200,000 KRW for fracture diagnosis, 3 million KRW for liability while skiing, 200,000 KRW for fracture surgery, and 100,000 KRW for cast treatment.

CREW Ski Insurance is partnered with the "X5 Season Pass." Customers can easily sign up via mobile by scanning the ski insurance QR code available at the X5 Season Pass issuance desks (located at Mona Yongpyong, High1, Welli Hilli Park, Elysian Gangchon, and Jisan).

A Lotte Insurance representative stated, "As the number of people participating in seasonal sports such as surfing and skiing increases, the need for safety accident preparedness is also growing," adding, "We plan to continue expanding our tailored insurance services for each season."
