‘2025 LONG RUN’ Successfully Concludes
Kakao Pay announced on the 8th that it had donated 2 billion KRW to the Together Foundation through the online and offline integrated charity marathon campaign '2025 LONG RUN.' The donation will be used to support programs for small business owners.

The 2025 LONG RUN online event attracted 260,000 participants. In the offline event, 5,000 people ran together to show their support for small business owners. According to Kakao Pay, the 2025 LONG RUN campaign had the highest number of participants among domestic running events.
The online event was held from November 14 to 30 through the Kakao Pay pedometer service. The initial goal of 1 billion steps was reached in just 28 hours, and the second and third goals of 10 billion and 20 billion steps were also surpassed. The final cumulative step count reached 22.5 billion steps.
As a result, Kakao Pay finalized a total donation of 2 billion KRW, combining the originally promised 1 billion KRW for reaching the first goal with additional donations for achieving further milestones.
The offline event took place on December 6 at Hanam Misa Rowing Park in Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province, with 5,000 participants. After the official opening, a warm-up program was held for participants, followed by a 10 km course race with singer Sean.
Finishers received a commemorative package containing a LONG RUN finisher’s medal, a reusable bag, a thermal blanket, a Kakao Friends hot pack, and a total of nine items. After the race, there was a celebratory performance by Sean and a donation ceremony.
Through the donation ceremony, Kakao Pay delivered a total of 2 billion KRW to the Together Foundation. The funds will be used to support small business owners.
Awards ceremonies, lucky draws, and various other programs were also held. At the 'Together for a Long Time' campaign booth, Kakao Pay promoted small business brands through a photo zone event.
Shin Wongeun, CEO of Kakao Pay, said, "This meaningful event allowed over 265,000 users to put their commitment to mutual growth into action by adding encouragement to the marathon.
