100 Participants to Be Selected
Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province will be recruiting participants for the "2026 First Phase Public Work Program" from December 8 to 12.
According to the city on December 5, a total of 100 participants will be selected. Eligible applicants must be Jeonju residents aged between 18 and 65 who are capable of working, with a household income at or below 70% of the median income and household assets not exceeding 300 million won.
The city plans to select participants by comprehensively considering factors such as age, household assets, income, previous participation in the program, and duration of unemployment.
However, individuals receiving unemployment benefits, more than one participant from the same household, those who have participated in three consecutive phases (including the previous phase), and family members (spouses and children) of public officials will be excluded from selection.
The program will run from January 12 to March 20 next year, with participants assigned to 50 projects across 33 departments, including park environment maintenance, Hanok Village improvement, and library operations.
Working conditions include 25 hours per week, with participants working 5 hours per day. Wages will be based on the 2026 minimum hourly wage of 10,320 won, plus an additional 5,000 won for incidental expenses, and paid leave for weekly holidays, monthly leave, and public holidays.
Those interested can apply by filling out an application form downloaded from the Jeonju City website or obtained from local community centers, and submitting it along with the required documents to the community center corresponding to their address.
Kim Hyesuk, Director of the City’s Job Policy Division, said, "We deeply appreciate the dedication of the public work program participants," adding, "We look forward to continued cooperation in building a better local community together."
