TIGER US Nasdaq 100 Surpasses 7 Trillion Won in Net Assets

Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on December 5 that the 'TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF' has surpassed 7 trillion won in net assets.

According to the Korea Exchange, as of the closing price on December 4, the TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF's net assets reached 7.2422 trillion won. This makes it the largest US Nasdaq 100 index investment ETF not only in Korea but also among those listed in Asia.

The TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF is the first domestic ETF to track the Nasdaq 100 index, representing the US market. Marking its 15th anniversary of listing this past October, it is the longest-standing US investment ETF in Korea and has achieved a cumulative return of over 1,500% since its inception. It has established itself as the representative ETF for long-term investment. The share price, which was 10,000 won at the time of listing, has now exceeded 160,000 won.

The TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF has been growing even more rapidly recently, driven by the strong performance of the US stock market. Its net asset size surpassed 6 trillion won at the end of September and has increased by about 1 trillion won in just two months. The US stock market continues to perform strongly due to robust earnings from big tech stocks centered around artificial intelligence (AI) and expectations of interest rate cuts. In particular, the Nasdaq 100 index has shown the highest performance among the three major US market indices so far this year.

The TIGER ETF, known as the "byword for US stock investment," is expanding opportunities for Korean investors to invest in the US stock market. The two flagship index ETFs, TIGER US S&P 500 ETF and TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF, are overwhelmingly chosen by individual investors and currently rank first and second in net assets among overseas equity ETFs listed in Korea. The TIGER US S&P 500 ETF, with net assets reaching 12 trillion won, is the largest overseas equity ETF in Korea and the largest S&P 500 investment ETF in Asia.

In addition, the TIGER Monthly Dividend ETF, which allows investors to receive monthly distributions by investing in major US indices, is also gaining popularity. By utilizing products such as the TIGER US S&P 500 Target Daily Covered Call ETF and the TIGER US Nasdaq 100 Target Daily Covered Call ETF, investors can expect high annual distribution rates of around 10% and 15%, respectively.

Kim Namho, Head of Global ETF Management at Mirae Asset Global Investments, stated, "The TIGER US Nasdaq 100 ETF and TIGER US S&P 500 ETF are representative long-term investment vehicles with stable growth prospects centered on large-cap US stocks," adding, "Going forward, TIGER ETF will continue to strive to spread a culture of long-term investment through ETFs, serving as the most reliable investment partner for investors."
