Refining Procedures for Contract Signing and Price Adjustments

The supply price indexation system is a policy designed to reasonably adjust supply prices in line with fluctuations in raw material costs, thereby easing the burden on small and medium-sized partner companies and preventing unfair trade practices. Since 2023, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Fair Trade Commission have annually selected and awarded companies that have operated the indexation system in exemplary fashion, aiming to promote its adoption and strengthen win-win cooperation between large corporations and SMEs.
SK Intellix designated this year as the inaugural year for expanding the supply price indexation system, accelerating efforts to build a fair and sustainable supply chain by enhancing the practical competitiveness of small and medium-sized partners and reinforcing the partnership structure. As a result, the company received high marks in the evaluation for excellent companies in the indexation system, being recognized for its efforts to expand the system and its track record in signing indexation contracts.
To ensure the stable operation of the supply price indexation system, SK Intellix has reviewed its internal processes and refined related procedures to facilitate smooth contract signing and price adjustments. The company has also held both online and offline briefing sessions for small and medium-sized partners to promote the system and continuously communicate its purpose and operational methods.
In addition, SK Intellix has operated a system for providing both paid and free consigned materials (where the primary contractor directly purchases and supplies materials) to alleviate the burden of raw material purchases for small and medium-sized partners and to create a stable production environment. Through this, SK Intellix has established a cooperative structure in which the company, rather than its partners, assumes the risks and burdens associated with raw material price fluctuations and market volatility.
Heechul Bae, Head of the Production Purchasing Team at SK Intellix, who attended the awards ceremony, stated, "The indexation system is an important foundation for small and medium-sized partners to achieve sustainable growth," adding, "We will continue to develop exemplary cooperation models for win-win growth with our SME partners."
