[Breaking] October Current Account Surplus at $6.81 Billion... Sharp Decrease Due to Holiday Effects

The Bank of Korea announced on December 5, through its "Preliminary Balance of Payments for October 2025," that South Korea's current account surplus reached 6.81 billion dollars in October. This marks the 30th consecutive month of surplus since May 2023. However, the surplus amount decreased compared to the previous month (13.47 billion dollars) and the same month last year (9.4 billion dollars), due to the impact of the Chuseok holiday.
