Six New Executives Promoted
On December 4, SK AX (President Kim Wanjong) announced that it had carried out an organizational restructuring and executive appointments to lead the artificial intelligence (AI) market and drive sustainable mid- to long-term growth.
First, the company established the position of Chief AI Innovation Officer (CAIO), who will oversee company-wide AI initiatives and report directly to the CEO. Vice President Cha Ji-won has been appointed as CAIO and will lead SK AX’s AI business.
Additionally, SK AX created a Growth Squad organization tasked with accelerating the company’s business growth, aiming to enhance execution capabilities for future core initiatives.
Furthermore, specialized organizations (Centers of Excellence, CoE) responsible for advancing key AX initiatives in each division have been placed under their respective divisions. The CAIO will oversee all initiatives to accelerate AI innovation.
SK AX explained, “This organizational structure is designed to seamlessly connect AI advanced technology research, product lifecycle management, and execution teams into a single flow, enabling the full-scale implementation of AX-based business models.”
Along with the organizational restructuring, SK AX also announced executive appointments. Son Geonil, Head of the Enterprise Services Division, has been appointed as Chief Customer Officer (CCO), overseeing customers and business operations.
Six new executives were promoted: Jo Kisoo, Head of the AI Innovation Research Center and Head of AT Services Division 1; Nam Juhyun, Head of AX Offering Division; Baek Seunghwan, Head of NOVA Initiative Division; Kwak Heeseok, Head of AT Services Division 2; Jeong Jewon, Head of Enterprise Solutions Division 2; and Kwon Jongmin, Head of Talent AX Business.
