On December 3, Uiseong County held its December regular assembly at the Uiseong Culture Center, attended by more than 600 public officials. December Regular Meeting: The Driving Force Behind Uiseong County Organization Is 'Communication' December Regular Meeting, Commendation for Meritorious Service, and Practical Communication Special Lecture Conducted by Lecturer Jeong Heungsu
During the event, a total of 19 public officials were commended across five categories: contributions to local autonomy, protection of vulnerable elderly, achievements in balanced development projects, excellence in wildfire response training by towns and townships, and outstanding performance in the evaluation of livelihood recovery consumption coupons by towns and townships.
The official recognition of employees who contributed to the county's development in various fields boosted morale on the ground.
The special lecture, "Persuasion and Dialogue That Move People's Hearts," delivered by lecturer Jeong Heungsu, received a strong response for its practical content that public officials could immediately apply to their work. Topics included understanding the essence of relationships, situation-specific questioning and persuasion techniques, strategies for reporting, and methods of self-protection in communication.
Kim Joosoo, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "It was a practical lecture that employees could feel and use in the field," adding, "We will continue to provide diverse training to improve organizational culture and enhance communication skills."
Participants commented, "The message that persuasion is not a technique to change others, but a process of building trust, was particularly impressive," and "It became an opportunity to elevate the level of communication in both work and daily life."
This regular assembly had significance beyond a year-end event. It served as a moment to revisit the basics of the organization-how to speak and how to listen-going beyond the simple delivery of information. It reaffirmed the fact that the quality of administration ultimately begins with communication between people.
