The Inno-Biz Association (Korea Association of Innovative Enterprises in SMEs) announced on December 4 that it held the '2025 Inno-Biz Day'.


This year's event, held under the theme of 'Communication and Participation, Connection and Cooperation, Growth and Development,' was organized to celebrate the achievements of Inno-Biz companies that contributed to the national economy through technological innovation over the past year, and to strengthen exchanges and solidarity among member companies.


The event, held at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Imperial Palace in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by Lee Cheolgyu, Chairman of the National Assembly's Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs, and Startups Committee; Lee Eonju, Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea and Chair of the Future Economic Growth Strategy Committee; Kim Donga, National Assembly Member (member of the Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs, and Startups Committee); Choi Seungjae, SME Ombudsman; as well as CEOs of Inno-Biz companies, government officials, and representatives from related organizations, totaling around 300 participants.

81 Awards in 4 Categories, Recognizing Leading Innovators

During the event, a total of 81 awards were presented to business leaders who made significant contributions in four categories: technological innovation, job creation, intellectual property, and more. The awards were distributed as follows: 32 from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, 3 from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, 16 from the Korean Intellectual Property Office, 10 from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and 20 from the Inno-Biz Association.


In the field of technological innovation, 32 commendations from the Minister of SMEs and Startups were awarded, including to Minseong Bae, CEO of Genie Tech, and Miran Lee, CEO of K-Bello, along with 10 commendations from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, 10 from the Chairman of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation, and 16 from the President of the Inno-Biz Association.


In the job creation category, three commendations from the Minister of Employment and Labor, including one to Yoonjung Lee, CEO of Myungjeon Bio, and three from the President of the Inno-Biz Association were presented. In the area of IP (intellectual property) professional education and staff, six awards from the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office and one from the President of the Inno-Biz Association were given, respectively.

This year's event also featured a charity bazaar organized by the Inno-Biz Women's Economic Committee to support aspiring athletes with disabilities. The proceeds from the sale of cookies made by member companies were donated on-site to the Korea Paralympic Committee, adding significance to the year-end spirit of sharing.


At the following 'Inno-Biz Concert,' the 'CEO Choir,' composed of participants in the Inno-Biz CEO program, and 'The Passion Musical,' performed by employees, provided a time of unity created together by CEOs and staff.

The event also included a declaration for strengthening the global competitiveness and innovative advancement of Inno-Biz companies.

Seven sectoral committees-including those for ESG (environmental, social, and governance), artificial intelligence (AI), global business, and sharing-pledged their commitment to new growth and innovation in 2026 through the 'Inno-Biz Scale-Up Ceremony.' The committees plan to focus on policy initiatives centered on Inno-Biz companies and on identifying practical agendas going forward.


Kwangcheon Jung, Chairman of the Inno-Biz Association, stated, "Inno-Biz Day is an occasion to encourage Inno-Biz entrepreneurs who have achieved technological innovation over the past year and to strengthen communication and cooperation. I hope that through the ceremony of sharing and innovation, this will be a meaningful time to seek new directions and a leap forward toward 2026 together."
