Hana Insurance Revises "One-Day Driver Insurance" to Cover Road Rage and Scar Surgery

Hana Insurance announced on December 4 that it had revised its "One-Day Driver Insurance" as of December 2, expanding the coverage to reduce the real-life burdens faced by drivers.

The "One-Day Driver Insurance" is a policy that can be purchased on a daily basis, from a minimum of one day up to a maximum of seven days. With this revision, the company aims to provide stronger support for short-term drivers who may encounter various difficulties.

The policy now provides compensation if the insured suffers damages due to a road rage incident. In the event of an intentional accident that leads to legal proceedings such as a report, complaint, or indictment, and a prosecutorial decision is made, up to 300,000 won per incident will be provided. This is a practical coverage reflecting the recent rise in road rage incidents in society.

To help reduce the stress caused by scars left after an accident, coverage for plastic surgery for injury-related scars has been newly added. If surgery is performed within two years of the accident, compensation is provided based on the location and length of the scar: 140,000 won per centimeter for facial scars, and 70,000 won per centimeter for scars on the upper or lower body. This applies to scars of 3 centimeters or longer, with a maximum benefit of up to 5 million won.

If a cast is required due to a fracture or sprain, 200,000 won will be paid. In cases where casts are applied to different body parts at the same time, the benefit is provided once per incident, offering broad coverage for both major and minor injuries.

Additional premium discounts have also been introduced to benefit drivers. Customers who have used Hana Insurance's "One-Day Car Insurance" will receive a 10% discount when purchasing the One-Day Driver Insurance. Customers who re-enroll in the One-Day Driver Insurance within six months of their previous policy will receive a 5% loyalty discount. These measures are intended to provide tangible benefits to long-term, loyal customers.

A Hana Insurance representative stated, "Since anyone can experience an accident, this revision focused on providing the coverage that drivers truly need," adding, "We aim to be a reliable supporter, offering practical assistance from the moment an accident occurs through the recovery process."
