This awards ceremony, organized by the Jeollanam-do ESG Association, recognizes individuals who have led the way in spreading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values within Jeollanam-do and achieved practical results, selecting winners by field.
Vice Chairman Ryu was recognized for his contributions, including enacting the "Ordinance to Support the Promotion of ESG Management in Hwasun County," and for emphasizing the practical implementation of ESG management during administrative audits and work reports, thereby establishing institutional and administrative foundations for ESG.
Vice Chairman Ryu has continuously proposed policies and pursued institutional improvements to incorporate ESG concepts throughout county administration.
Vice Chairman Ryu stated, "To address complex social issues such as the climate crisis, social polarization, and the risk of local extinction, a policy approach from the ESG perspective is essential," adding, "I will make even greater efforts to ensure that ESG becomes not just a strategy, but a core principle of local policy and administrative operations."
