"12th Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Center Cultural Program Presentation" Held
Singing, Traditional Dance, Performance Stages, Hands-on Activities, and Exhibitions Featured
The Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Council held the "12th Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Center Cultural Program Presentation" at the Geumsan Sports Complex on November 28.
On this day, more than 400 people, including Beom-in Park, County Governor of Geumsan, members of the residents' autonomy committee, and local residents, attended the event, which featured a variety of cultural programs such as Nanta, Zumba dance, singing, traditional Korean dance, drum band, dance, and ensemble performances.
In addition, booths from each town and township, which offered hands-on experiences with residents' autonomy programs and displayed activity records and works, received a great response.
Furthermore, in recognition of their efforts to promote residents' autonomy, 18 individuals received commendations from the County Governor and the Chairperson of the Geumsan County Council.
After the cultural program presentation concluded, the first-ever Residents' Autonomy Committee Harmony Festival was held this year to foster unity and exchange among committee members from towns and townships. Mini-games such as the rubber shoe toss were organized, and the friendly competition among committee members created a lively atmosphere.
Kwon Moonseok, President of the Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Council, stated, "The 12th Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Center Cultural Program Presentation was successfully concluded with much interest and encouragement," and expressed gratitude to the performance teams and the residents' autonomy committee members from each town and township who participated.
Beom-in Park, County Governor of Geumsan, said, "I would like to thank the Geumsan County Residents' Autonomy Council and the members of the town and township residents' autonomy committees for their efforts to promote residents' autonomy. We will continue to provide full support so that grassroots democracy can be realized through effective residents' autonomy."
