Silla University Department of Beauty Care Achieves Complete Awards at International Health and Beauty Society Conference

Demonstrating Research Competitiveness

The Department of Beauty Care at Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) has once again demonstrated its research capabilities at an international academic conference.

On November 28, Silla University announced that four papers by Professor Jeon Hongshin and graduate students from the Department of Beauty and Cosmetic Science received both the Best Paper Award and the Excellent Paper Award at the 36th International Health and Beauty Society Autumn Conference.

The conference, held on November 23 at Youngsan University, was themed "The Convergence of K-Beauty and Global Healthcare." It brought together key intersections and practical research achievements in the global beauty and health industry.

The most notable research at this conference was a paper titled "The Impact of Hair Salon Service Scape on Customer Satisfaction and Revisit Intention." Presented by Professor Jeon Hongshin and Lim Jinseon (a graduate of the master's program in Beauty and Cosmetic Science), the study statistically analyzed the mediating effect of rapport building, enhancing its practical applicability, and was awarded the Best Paper Award.

Additionally, the following studies each received the Excellent Paper Award: Jang Suhyang (doctoral candidate in Pharmaceutical Engineering) for "Analysis of the Effectiveness of Aromatherapy One-Day Classes"; Kim Minju (master's graduate in Beauty and Cosmetic Science) for "The Impact of Premium Skincare Programs on Brand Loyalty"; and Kim Yekyung (doctoral candidate in Pharmaceutical Engineering) for "Analysis of Customer Satisfaction in Nail Drill Machine Gel Removal Procedures."

Professor Jeon Hongshin, who supervised the research, stated, "This is the moment when the students' consistent efforts have been officially recognized," adding, "We will continue to pursue convergence research between the beauty industry and academia to produce results that can be applied in practical and industrial settings."
