"We Must Stand United This December 3"
Jang Donghyuk, Representative of the People Power Party, stated on the 29th, "Their accusations of rebellion will now come to an end," and added, "It is time for us to begin our counterattack."
On the morning of the same day, at the Gyeongnam Provincial Party Members' Sports Festival held at Jinyeong Sports Complex in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, Representative Jang commented on the arrest warrant review for Assemblyman Choo Kyungho, who is suspected of obstructing the vote to lift the 12·3 Martial Law, saying, "It will definitely be dismissed," and made these remarks.
Addressing the party members in attendance, he said, "Look around you. There are so many fellow party members by your side," and continued, "When our scattered party comrades come together, we have this much strength. This is our power and the true strength of the People Power Party."
He went on to say, "We can win with our strength. We can secure victory in the local elections and reclaim the government," and emphasized, "Let us begin our revolution to reclaim the government here today, once again. On December 3rd last year, we were scattered. This December 3rd, we must unite and stand together in one place."
He reiterated, "The arrest warrant for Floor Leader Choo Kyungho will definitely be dismissed," and added, "With passionate hearts, let us now begin our counterattack." The pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) for Assemblyman Choo Kyungho is scheduled for the afternoon of December 2. The decision on whether to detain Assemblyman Choo is expected to be made around the early morning of December 3, marking one year since the 12·3 Martial Law incident.
After finishing his congratulatory remarks, Representative Jang immediately left for Daejeon to attend the "People Power Party National Rally for Livelihood Recovery and Protection of the Rule of Law," which will be held later that afternoon.
