Hwaseong City to Increase 6011 and 6012 Metropolitan Buses Between Dongtan and Pangyo Station Starting December 1

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on November 28 that, starting December 1, it will increase the number of 6011 and 6012 metropolitan buses operating between Dongtan 1 and 2 New Towns and Seongnam Pangyo Station.

The city explained that this increase is intended to address the shortage of seats on metropolitan bus routes heading toward Pangyo and to alleviate inconvenience for citizens caused by the recent rise in the number of households moving into Dongtan 2 New Town.

Accordingly, starting next month, two additional buses will be deployed on the 6011 route, and one additional bus will be added to the 6012 route. Previously, on September 1, the city had also urgently deployed one commuter charter bus per route during peak hours.

Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "We hope that increasing the number of metropolitan buses toward Pangyo will improve transportation convenience for residents in the Dongtan area," adding, "We will continue to do our best to develop practical measures so that citizens can use public transportation more smoothly."
