SDT Selected as a 'Korea Work-Life Balance Excellent Company'

A Future-Oriented Work System Without Tardiness
Maximizing Autonomy to Secure Top Talent Nationwide

SDT, a company specializing in quantum standard technology, announced on the 28th that it has been officially selected as a '2025 Korea Work-Life Balance Outstanding Company' by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The selection process for outstanding companies comprehensively evaluated both quantitative indicators-such as the introduction of flexible work arrangements, average weekly working hours, annual leave usage rate, and parental leave usage rate-and qualitative criteria, including efforts to promote flexible work, as well as improvements in work methods and organizational culture. SDT received particularly high marks for its innovative HR policies and its efforts to attract and retain top talent through these initiatives.

At the core of this recognition is SDT's independently operated 'Fully Flexible Work System.' This system goes beyond the simple concept of daily or weekly flexible work, allowing each employee to freely allocate their work resources on a monthly basis. In particular, even if working hours accumulate during project periods, employees are guaranteed ample time for rest and recharging equivalent to the accumulated hours after the project concludes.

Additionally, the fully flexible work system has eliminated the very concept of tardiness, maximizing autonomy for employees. Despite being located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, this system has become a key foundation enabling outstanding talent residing in broader regions such as Paju in Gyeonggi Province, Chungju in North Chungcheong Province, and Wonju in Gangwon Province to remain with the company long-term. Furthermore, employees are able to freely use their time outside of work for childcare, personal errands, and other needs.

Yoon Ji-won, CEO of SDT, stated, "The field of quantum computing is highly complex, making 'creative focus' more important than simply working long hours. SDT's innovative work environment has driven our achievements," and added, "As a leading company shaping the future of Korea's quantum technology industry, we will continue to implement forward-looking HR policies to secure the best talent."
