Three LX Hausys Flooring Products Achieve Korea’s First 'EPD-Global' Certification

Three types of flooring products from LX Hausys have become the first in the domestic flooring industry to receive the 'EPD-Global' certification, an environmental product declaration mutually recognized by both South Korea and the European Union (EU).

On the 28th, LX Hausys announced that three products-'Lexcoat' and 'Origin' sheet flooring, and 'Econoplus' tile flooring-have received the mutually recognized 'EPD-Global Certificate' from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute and 'EPD-Global,' the Norwegian EPD certification body.

The EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification is a system that discloses the environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions, throughout the entire lifecycle of a product or service-from raw material acquisition to production, distribution, use, and disposal.

All three LX Hausys flooring products certified this time are known for their outstanding eco-friendliness and functionality. The company expects that this certification will further enhance its competitiveness in overseas markets going forward.

The 'Lexcoat' and 'Origin' sheet flooring products are designed for special facilities. 'Lexcoat' is a high-resilience product with excellent shock absorption, making it suitable for sports facilities such as gyms. 'Origin' is a medical facility product characterized by long-term durability and superior hygiene, making it ideal for hospitals and health screening centers. Both products are exported to regions including North America, China, and Southeast Asia.

'Econoplus' tile flooring features a high-strength surface coating that effectively reduces everyday scratches. It also offers improved user convenience by making it easy to remove stains when contaminated. The product is actively exported to regions such as Southeast Asia.
