Youngseok Choi Appointed CTO for "Technological Innovation and Process Improvement"
On November 27, LG Display announced its regular executive appointments for 2026, which were approved by the board of directors. The appointments include one executive vice president, two senior vice presidents, and ten newly appointed vice presidents, totaling thirteen executives.
Youngseok Choi, Senior Vice President and Head of the Production Technology Center, was promoted to Executive Vice President and appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for his contributions to production technology innovation, improvements in production processes, and enhancement of performance-driven technologies.
Park Sangyun, Vice President and Head of the SC Development Group, who strengthened customer trust by developing new small and medium-sized organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technologies in a timely manner, and Lee Taerim, Vice President in charge of Large Product Development 1, who led efforts to enhance the competitiveness of large OLED products, were each promoted to Senior Vice President.
Ten individuals, including Vice President So Sungjin, who contributed to business performance by developing new OLED smart watch products, and Vice President Kim Inju, who strengthened technological competitiveness by developing advanced OLED technologies at the research institute, were newly appointed as vice presidents.
LG Display explained that the latest executive appointments focused on selecting talented individuals with expertise and strong execution capabilities, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in technological innovation and contributed to improving business performance.
