On November 27, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that it had decided not to refer Jeon to prosecution on charges of disseminating false information under the Public Official Election Act.

On May 7, a Shorts video titled "Lee Jaemyung, Enacting an Anti-Discrimination Law to Require 30% LGBT Hiring at Public Institutions" was uploaded to Jeon's YouTube channel.

The Democratic Party filed a police complaint against Jeon on May 28, stating that it was "a clear distortion of the statement and dissemination of false information."

The police explained, "There is no evidence or indication that Jeon gave instructions or was involved." However, the employee who uploaded the video has been referred to the prosecution without detention for violating the Public Official Election Act.
