Jang Kyungtae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on November 27 that it had received a complaint alleging sexual harassment against Assemblyman Jang and has begun an investigation.
Jang is suspected of harassing a woman at a gathering in Seoul late last year.
The complainant recently filed the complaint at the Yeongdeungpo Police Station, but the case has since been transferred to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
On Facebook the same day, Jang stated, "I will respond firmly to these completely false accusations and slander."
