Ranix announced on November 27 that CEO Choi Seungwook received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT Award at the 3rd Fabless Person's Day ceremony.
CEO Choi was recognized for his 37 years of dedication to the semiconductor industry, leading the localization of national core technologies such as IoT security, post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and V2X communications.
Since founding Ranix in 2003, he has spearheaded the development of security semiconductor technologies that support not only standard cryptographic algorithms like RSA, ECC, and AES but also PQC standards such as ML-KEM, ML-DSA, and KpqC. By supplying the hybrid security chip 'RQ2622' based on QRNG to government agencies, he has demonstrated technological excellence. The company is also accelerating the shipment of prototype KpqC chips for KCMVP Grade 3 certification, scheduled for January next year.
In addition, Ranix is the only company in Korea to independently develop V2X modems, security chips, and software platforms. With a total solution that supports all standards from IEEE WAVE to 5G-NR-V2X, the company is contributing to public safety by preventing traffic accidents and enhancing autonomous driving safety.
In the field of autonomous driving, Ranix has established a foundation for the commercialization of autonomous driving communication and security technologies through its participation in the Korea Automotive Technology Institute's Connected Car Alliance. Internationally, the company is also actively expanding its global technology network, including ongoing 5G V2X technology collaboration with Fraunhofer IVI in Germany.
CEO Choi Seungwook stated, "I have devoted many years to safeguarding Korea's technological sovereignty in the fields of security and autonomous driving semiconductors. With this award as a new starting point, I will strive to play an even greater role as a technology company dedicated to protecting the lives and safety of the public."
