Twice's "Strategy" has sold over 1 million units in the United States, making them the first K-pop girl group to receive Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
According to the RIAA on November 27, "Strategy," a track from Twice's 14th mini album released on December 6 last year and featured on the original soundtrack (OST) of "K-Pop Demon Hunters," has been certified Platinum.
Previously, Twice received Gold certification for "The Feels" and "I CAN'T STOP ME." With "Strategy," they have now earned their first Platinum certification, becoming the K-pop girl group with the highest level of RIAA certification to date.
The RIAA classifies certifications based on single and album sales in the United States: Gold (over 500,000 units), Platinum (over 1 million units), Multi-Platinum (over 2 million units), and Diamond (over 10 million units).
"Strategy" gained attention thanks to the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" phenomenon. It spent 17 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 main chart and achieved Platinum certification in less than a year after its release.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary, Twice is currently conducting their sixth world tour, "This Is For," with 74 shows across 43 regions worldwide this year.
