SK Speedmate Enters Imported Car Maintenance Business with SK Enmove

Launch of Joint Brand "ZIC TECH"
"Setting a New Standard in Imported Car Maintenance Industry"

SK Speedmate, a vehicle maintenance service provider, is entering the imported car maintenance franchise business in partnership with SK Enmove, a company specializing in lubricants. The two companies will launch a franchise brand called "ZIC TECH" and plan to contribute to revitalizing the imported car aftermarket and fostering a healthy industrial ecosystem.

On November 27, SK Speedmate announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Enmove for the "ZIC Brand Utilization for Imported Car Maintenance Franchise Joint Promotion." The signing ceremony, held the previous day at Samil Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, was attended by Kim Jaeho, Head of Business Strategy at SK Speedmate, and Seo Sanghyuk, Head of E-Fluid Business at SK Enmove.

During the event, the two companies discussed future directions for cooperation, including the opening schedule for ZIC TECH stores, a jointly developed brand. They agreed to open ZIC TECH stores starting at the end of this year and expand to more than 10 locations by the first half of next year.

Through this venture, SK Enmove will supply premium ZIC lubricants, which have earned trust both domestically and internationally for over 30 years, to imported car owners at reasonable prices. SK Speedmate plans to leverage its franchise management expertise to train and supervise technicians, implement maintenance and customer service guidelines, and enhance brand reliability through standardized maintenance processes.

With the steady increase in imported cars in the domestic market, it is expected that the number of registered imported vehicles will exceed 4 million by 2030. The two companies identified a shortage of after-sales service for imported cars relative to demand as a key issue. In particular, they pointed out the need to address concerns regarding maintenance skills and costs for vehicles whose warranty periods have expired.

To address this, SK Speedmate and SK Enmove decided to pursue the ZIC TECH business. Their strategy is to provide a transparent and highly reliable service environment, ensure stable supply of maintenance products through an online reservation and ordering system, and systematically upgrade the level of technical support at service centers to enhance business competitiveness.

An SK Speedmate representative stated, "By collaborating with the trusted ZIC brand, we will set a new industry standard for imported car maintenance services in terms of quality, time, and price. At the end of the year, we will introduce stores under the new brand name and further advance our marketing and operational systems to expand the scope of our customer services."
