Noroo Paint Wins Grand Prize at "PSM Best Practices Competition"

Proving Capabilities with AI-Based Smart Safety Technologies

Noroo Paint announced on November 26 that it had won the grand prize at the "2025 PSM (Process Safety Management) Best Practices Competition" hosted by the Central Regional Employment and Labor Office.

This competition is the only event held in the Seoul metropolitan area among the seven Major Industrial Accident Prevention Centers nationwide. Award-winning companies receive a commendation from the head of the Central Regional Employment and Labor Office, as well as up to five bonus points during regular PSM evaluations.

Noroo Paint received the highest score and took the grand prize in the final evaluation, being highly praised for advancing its process safety management system through the introduction of smart safety technologies and the strengthening of safety culture. The company’s technologies, such as its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, safety and environment kiosks, AI drones, and mobile CCTV-which detect and address hazards in real time-were highlighted as benchmarking examples. The introduction of a mobile ionizer to reduce the risk of static electricity in plastic and solid powder processes was also positively received as an effective improvement tailored to the characteristics of these processes.

The company also achieved results in improving organizational culture with the goal of "embedding PSM in daily operations." Noroo Paint increased its safety budget by 29% compared to the previous year, actively investing in the "Comprehensive Labor Safety Plan" and "Creating a Safe Workplace." On-site, the company has continuously carried out activities such as campaigns, TFT meetings, internal audits, and training.

In addition, Noroo Paint strengthened employee participation in safety systems by operating the "NOROO Safety Reporting Center" linked to smart safety activities and installing "Safety and Environment Kiosks."
