On November 25, Jarvis and Villains, the operator of the tax platform Samzzomzzom, announced that it would enter the insurtech market by acquiring Microprotect, an insurtech company specializing in indemnity insurance.

Microprotect launched "Returns," an indemnity insurance proxy claim service, in March 2021, and joined as a partner service of Samzzomzzom last year. Following an acquisition process that began in March, Microprotect will now start anew as a subsidiary of Samzzomzzom. Going forward, Samzzomzzom customers will be able to use both tax and medical expense refund services within the Samzzomzzom app. They will also receive personalized insurance assessments and recommendations.
Jarvis and Villains plans to leverage this acquisition to expand Samzzomzzom into a "lifestyle-oriented economic platform." The company aims to offer customer-friendly services in areas such as taxes, medical expenses, and insurance-fields that are essential to daily life but often difficult and inconvenient to use.
