The Hwaseong Arts Center, opening in January next year at Jaramo Park in Dongtan 2 New Town, features a main auditorium with 1,450 seats and an outdoor performance hall with a capacity of 1,200 seats.
The Hwaseong Arts Center, with a total floor area of 13,766 square meters, features a main auditorium (Dongtan Art Hall) with 1,450 seats and an outdoor performance hall with a capacity of 1,200 seats.
The city explained that the main auditorium is equipped with Korea's top-tier 'Acoustic Shell' system, creating a three-dimensional sound environment where the entire hall resonates like a single musical instrument. The venue is also fitted with extra-large video screens at the front and rear, a central stage lift, and other stage facilities, enabling it to host a wide range of performances including classical music, musicals, and concerts.
The outdoor performance hall is designed as an open structure that harmonizes naturally with the environment of Jaramo Park, and will serve as a public cultural platform where citizens can enjoy both art and relaxation in their daily lives.
