The National Police Agency announced on the 24th that it has officially launched the "Constitution-Respecting Government Innovation Task Force (TF)."
The Constitution-Respecting TF is composed of 23 members, including one support team and two investigation teams under the leadership of Yoo Jaeseong, Acting Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, and a superintendent-level working team leader.
To ensure fairness and objectivity in the TF's investigation process, an external advisory panel of five members will be operated. The advisory panel consists of three legal professionals, one academic, and one member from a civic organization. The police have also established an internal reporting center to receive information regarding illegal activities related to martial law.
The National Police Agency stated, "Mobile phone investigations will only be conducted in extremely exceptional cases where necessity is established and with the individual's consent," adding, "We have not considered any blanket submission requirements or any disadvantageous measures in cases of refusal to submit."
