The meeting was attended by 34 people, including Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, the council chairperson and members, and city officials. The agenda included key project reports, an explanation of projects related to the Wangsuk New Town development, a Q&A session, and open discussion.

During the meeting, Jingun-eup shared updates on projects being promoted in cooperation with relevant organizations such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Gyeonggi Province, and Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH). Visions and expected benefits for improving the living environment, creating a safer local environment, and enhancing quality of life were also presented.

In addition, the city’s Future City Division reported on the progress of several projects: the public housing district development linked to the Wangsuk New Town project, the business relocation complex, and the Sanungcheon Integrated Park project. It was emphasized that, during the park development, local residents’ needs will be reflected so that community sports facilities such as a park golf course can be established.

Following this, an open discussion allowed council members to make suggestions and proposals. The council plans to officially submit these recommendations to LH and the relevant city departments to ensure that residents’ opinions are actively reflected in policy.

Mayor Joo Gwangdeok stated, "We will ensure that the development of Wangsuk New Town does not negatively impact the quality of life or the local economy for residents of the original downtown, and we will establish strategies so that everyone can achieve win-win, mutually beneficial growth."

Meanwhile, the council plans to hold regular meetings once every quarter and convene additional meetings as needed to discuss key issues and gather residents’ opinions.
