Kim Dalseung, CEO of the ESG Management Research Institute, who participated as a keynote speaker, presented practical operational strategies under the theme "Sustainable Commercial District Operation Strategies through Hub Space Linkage." These included designing movement lines centered on the U-shaped connection space, increasing visitor dwell time, utilizing an integrated brand, and strengthening the visitor inflow structure.
During the subsequent roundtable, in-depth discussions were held on actionable strategies that can be applied on-site, such as commercial district revitalization, program planning, and branding and promotional strategies.
Jeon Heejeong, Director of the Gurye-gun Urban Regeneration Support Center, stated, "Through this second workshop, we clarified the identity of the connection space and further specified the strategies necessary to create a stay-type structure where commerce and culture circulate. Moving forward, we will establish an operational system linked with residents and cooperatives, and complete a sustainable urban regeneration model through marketing and program planning."
Based on these discussions, the Urban Regeneration Support Center plans to systematically design the operation plan for the Gurye Store and Sepo Market startup shops, which are scheduled for completion next year, and to promote various activation projects such as festivals, experiential, and exploration programs utilizing the connection space.
