Jun Kwanghoon Holds Special Press Conference on the Right of Civil Resistance
The police, who are investigating the forces behind the Seoul Western District Court riot, have summoned Shin Hyesik, the head of the conservative YouTube channel "Shinui Hansoo," for additional questioning.
The Security Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency began questioning Shin at 9 a.m. on the 24th on charges including instigating unlawful entry into a special building and obstruction of official duties.
Speaking to reporters that day, Shin stated, "I suspect that the real orchestrators behind this incident are not myself or Pastor Jun Kwanghoon, but rather Seong Samyeong, former presidential office administrator, and Bae Euicheol, an attorney from former President Yoon Sukyeol's legal team." He added, "In relation to this, I will appear as a witness before the special prosecutor investigating the insurrection at 2 p.m. on the 25th."
Meanwhile, Pastor Jun held a "Special Press Conference on the Right of Civil Resistance" at Sarang Jeil Church in Seongbuk District at 10 a.m. Police have booked nine individuals, including Pastor Jun and Shin, as part of their ongoing investigation into the forces behind the Western District Court incident that occurred in January.
The police suspect that these individuals systematically managed conservative YouTubers by exerting psychological control (gaslighting) under the pretext of religious faith and providing financial support, thereby inducing participants in the court riot to engage in illegal activities.
