Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on November 24 that it has launched a "Foreign Language Insurance Claim Service" to enhance the convenience of insurance use for its growing number of foreign customers.
This new service is available on both the Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance official website and the mobile app. It is offered in English and Chinese, allowing foreign customers to file insurance claims more easily and accurately.
According to a recent analysis by Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance of foreign customers' use of digital services, the most frequently used features were: ▲insurance claims (58.3%), ▲premium payments (14%), and ▲certificate issuance (9.5%).
In terms of language, Chinese-speaking users accounted for 68.6%, and English-speaking users for 8.4%, highlighting the significant need for foreign language support in the insurance claim area.
Reflecting these usage patterns, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance prioritized the introduction of English and Chinese services in the "Insurance Claim" menu. During service development, usability tests were conducted with actual English-speaking and Chinese-speaking users to verify and incorporate feedback on screen layout, guidance items, and input procedures.
A representative from Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance stated, "With the introduction of this foreign language service, our foreign customers can now access insurance services more accurately and conveniently. We plan to continue expanding the supported languages and service scope to further enhance the quality of services for our global customers."
