Holding the "National Rally for Livelihood Recovery and Rule of Law Protection"
The People Power Party announced that it will hold the "National Rally for Livelihood Recovery and Rule of Law Protection" (hereinafter referred to as the National Rally) across the country starting on November 22.
This National Rally will tour the nation under the theme "A Livelihood Red Card to the Lee Jaemyung Administration." The party aims to listen directly to public sentiment and raise awareness about the Lee Jaemyung administration’s destruction of the livelihood economy, threats to liberal democracy, judicial intimidation, and actions undermining the rule of law. In addition, the party plans to demand a parliamentary investigation into external pressure to drop the Daejang-dong appeal and call for the immediate resumption of President Lee Jaemyung’s trial.
Key central party officials, including party leader Jang Donghyuk, floor leader Song Eonseok, Supreme Council members Shin Dongwook, Kim Minsu, Yang Hyangja, and Kim Jaewon, Youth Supreme Council member Woo Jaejun, Policy Committee Chair Kim Doeup, Secretary-General Jeong Heeyong, as well as provincial party chairpersons, National Assembly members, and party chapter heads from each region, will attend the National Rally.
In conjunction with the National Rally schedule, leader Jang will visit religious facilities, hold roundtable discussions with small business owners, business leaders, and young people to listen to the voices of citizens. After the National Rally, Jang plans to follow through on his pledge to visit the Honam region at least once a month.
A People Power Party official stated, "Through this National Rally, we will correct the Lee Jaemyung administration's reckless destruction of livelihoods and rule of law, and resolutely block the baseless schemes to eliminate the opposition. We will show the public a renewed People Power Party through unity and innovation."
