The police have referred former Korea Communications Commission Chairwoman Lee Jinsook to the prosecution without detention.

According to the police on November 20, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul referred former Chairwoman Lee to the prosecution without detention the previous day on charges including violations of the State Public Officials Act and the Public Official Election Act.
Former Chairwoman Lee was arrested at her home on October 2 on suspicion of making politically biased remarks and engaging in preliminary electioneering through conservative-leaning YouTube channels during September to October last year and March to April this year, in violation of the Public Official Election Act and the State Public Officials Act.
She was subsequently questioned twice while in custody, and was released by court order two days later following a detention review.
