BNK Gyeongnam Bank Signs 'Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement'

Promoting Child Traffic Accident Prevention
and Fostering a Culture of Considerate Safety

BNK Gyeongnam Bank is supporting local infants and families with children by producing and distributing the 'BNK Child Protection Vehicle Sticker,' following the 'BNK Child Safety Umbrella,' to prevent traffic accidents involving children.

BNK Gyeongnam Bank Signs 'Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement' Agreement to Revitalize Gyeongnam Region.

On the 20th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced that it had signed the 'Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement' with the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea Gyeongnam Branch.

Executive Director Koo Taekeun held the 'Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement Ceremony' with Jo Yujin, Head of the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea Gyeongnam Branch, who visited the BNK Gyeongnam Bank headquarters.

Under the agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank will produce 2,100 'BNK Child Protection Vehicle Stickers' and donate them to the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea to prevent child casualties from traffic accidents and foster a culture of considerate safety.

The Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea, acting as the distribution agency, will provide the BNK Child Protection Vehicle Stickers donated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank to local infants and families with children.

The BNK Child Protection Vehicle Stickers, produced in both magnetic and adhesive sheet forms, feature a hexagonal shape made of high-visibility material, with the phrase "A child is on board" and the BNK Gyeongnam Bank mascot "Dahaeng-i" illustrated on them, making them easily noticeable from a distance.

To produce and distribute the BNK Child Protection Vehicle Stickers, BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to run a "Carbon Neutral Sharing Walk Donation Challenge" to raise the target donation amount of 10 million won.

Employees plan to walk a total of 53 million steps-the equivalent of one trip around the Earth's equator-by December 13 to raise the target donation amount.

Koo Taekeun, Executive Director of BNK Gyeongnam Bank, stated, "This Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement was planned with a focus on preventing child traffic accidents and fostering a culture of considerate safety. We hope that the BNK Child Protection Vehicle Stickers will help reduce child traffic accidents and contribute to overcoming local population decline and low birth rates. BNK Gyeongnam Bank will continue to work with the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea to promote a variety of social contribution initiatives."

Previously, before the signing of the Save Gyeongnam Project No. 8 Financial Business Agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank signed the No. 7 Financial Business Agreement with Gyeongsangnam-do and provided 7,000 'BNK Child Safety Umbrellas.'

The BNK Child Safety Umbrellas were distributed free of charge to approximately 7,000 lower-grade (1st to 3rd grade) elementary school students in 180 schools across 11 cities and counties in Gyeongsangnam-do-Geochang, Goseong, Namhae, Miryang, Sancheong, Uiryeong, Changnyeong, Hadong, Haman, Hamyang, and Hapcheon-where the number of newborns is less than 300.
