Selected for the Korea Sports Promotion Awards Ceremony
Successfully Operated 31 Tournaments with a Total Prize Pool of 34.6 Billion Won
The Korea Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT) announced on the 19th that it received the Grand Prize in the Professional Sports Special category at the 2025 Korea Sports Promotion Awards ceremony.
The selection committee stated, "KLPGT successfully operated the 2025 KLPGA Tour, which consisted of 31 tournaments with a total prize pool of 34.6 billion won, drawing significant attention from golf fans." The committee further explained, "For five consecutive years, KLPGT has not settled for the '30 billion won total prize money era,' but has made various efforts to create an environment where players, spectators, and tournament officials can feel safe."

Kim Sangyeol, President of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association, said, "I believe this award is the result of our continuous efforts to create a stage that satisfies players, fans, and tournament officials alike." He added, "We will continue to enhance the quality and standards of the tour through thorough preparation and systematic management so that players can perform at their best on the KLPGA Tour."
The Korea Sports Promotion Awards are now in their seventh year. The event is hosted by Sports Donga and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, among others. The awards were established to recognize and encourage sports-related organizations, companies, and brands that have contributed to the development and vitalization of sports in Korea.
