Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on the 19th that it has received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in recognition of its contribution to the establishment of national injury prevention policies by participating in the government-implemented Post-Discharge Injury In-Depth Investigation Project.


The hospital was highly praised for its continuous provision of statistical information on the medical records of various injury patients, its accurate and systematic data management, and its diligent execution of investigations, all of which have contributed to the development of healthcare policies and the improvement of public health.


This commendation was awarded at the first "Injury Prevention Day" commemorative event recently hosted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.


The Medical Records Team at Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital has played a key role in national-level injury prevention and healthcare strategy development by actively participating in the Post-Discharge Injury In-Depth Investigation Project and collecting and providing in-depth information on the causes and patterns of injuries.


The "Post-Discharge Injury In-Depth Investigation Project" is a national injury surveillance system that investigates the causes and progress of injuries among discharged patients to establish a foundation for accurate prevention policies and treatment strategies.


Hospital Director Min Jeongjun stated, "This award is a recognition of the hospital's efforts to produce highly reliable healthcare information," adding, "We will continue to actively cooperate in research and policy support for injury prevention in the future."
