Supporting Unity Among Busan's Soccer Enthusiasts
Busan-based local company Daesun Brewery has generously contributed to a soccer tournament that has supported the development of soccer in Busan and promoted unity among soccer enthusiasts for 24 years.
On November 17, Daesun Brewery announced the conclusion of the "44th Busan Metropolitan City Football Association Cup and Daesun Brewery Cup Soccer Tournament," which was held on November 16 at Gijang World Cup Village and three other locations.
The Busan Metropolitan City Football Association Cup was first held in 1981 and has, for 44 years, served as a festival and a platform for unity among local amateur soccer enthusiasts. In particular, Daesun Brewery has been a steadfast sponsor for 24 years, providing strong support to Busan's soccer community.
The Daesun Brewery Cup Soccer Tournament was organized into five age divisions: Youth, Adult, Senior, Silver, and Golden. After fierce competition, the champions were as follows: in the Youth division, Gijang County and Nam District; in the Adult division, Nam District and Saha District; in the Senior division, Buk District and Yeonje District; in the Silver division, Yeonje District and Dongnae District; and in the Golden division, Yeonje District and Busanjin District. The winning teams from each group earned the right to participate in the national tournament.
Baek Hyunsik, President of the Busan Metropolitan City Football Association, said, "I am deeply grateful to Daesun Brewery for its unwavering support, which has allowed our soccer community to wrap up the year with a healthy and vibrant festival.
