Futurecore, a company specializing in optical filters and Hall sensors, announced that it has maintained robust performance thanks to increased orders in its core business areas and cost reduction efforts.
Futurecore reported on November 17 that its consolidated operating profit for the third quarter of this year reached 3.467 billion won, a 193% surge compared to the same period last year. During the same period, sales also increased by more than 4% year-on-year to 45.4 billion won. Notably, net profit for the period turned positive, reaching 123 million won, as a result of higher operating profit and reduced non-operating expenses. Gross profit also jumped 24% to 9.2 billion won, up from 7.5 billion won in the same quarter last year.
The company attributed its strong results to improved productivity and yield, driven by increased sales of optical filters and Hall sensors. In addition, lower manufacturing costs and reduced selling and administrative expenses significantly improved its financial soundness.
Specifically, the optical filter division achieved 19% year-on-year sales growth. Selling and administrative expenses were also reduced by over 8% during the same period, further contributing to improved performance.
Founded in 2004, Futurecore is an electronic components manufacturer focusing on products such as blue filters, infrared (IR) filters, and camera modules. The company has established specialized production bases in Vietnam (for optical filters) and Tianjin, China (for Hall sensors), striving to produce high-quality products.
Based on these efforts, Futurecore was selected as the 'Best Quality Partner' by Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Optical Quality Team this year. The company was recognized for its outstanding achievements in activities to improve optical quality, including expanding investment in production facilities to secure superior mass production quality, streamlining processes, and enhancing detection capabilities through the expansion of automated equipment to strengthen leakage prevention.
