LG Electronics’ Transparent Screen TV Wins Presidential Award
The Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) announced that it held the 41st Excellent Design (GD) Product Selection Awards Ceremony at Design Korea 2025, which took place on November 14 at Hall D of COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The Excellent Design (GD) Product Selection system, implemented since 1985, awards the government-certified ‘GD Mark’ to products with outstanding design. This initiative aims to enhance the design competitiveness of industries and improve the quality of life for the public.

This year, a total of 1,030 products were submitted, and 79 were selected as winners, including one Presidential Award, two Prime Minister’s Awards, 25 Ministerial Awards, and 51 awards from related organizations.
The highest honor, the Presidential Award, was given to LG Electronics for its transparent screen TV, the ‘LG Transparent OLED TV-77T4.’ The product was recognized for presenting innovative display aesthetics in the global market by combining a fully transparent panel with advanced OLED technology, thus “breaking the boundaries between space and screen.”
The Prime Minister’s Awards went to Samsung Electronics’ personal AI robot ‘Ballie’ and Hyundai Livart’s premium furniture ‘Emotion Series.’
